“Quivers is a Hobart/Melbourne guitar pop project drawing upon Americana & Australiana. This is gutter pop made from grief and drunken optimism and sort of about the idea of roadtripping with your ghosts (Sam lost his brother, Tom, in a freediving accident 4 years ago). The songs were written across Hobart, Melbourne, and Beijing. Cassettes hand made with friends. “Our first single is ‘Pigeons’, is a hungover thought that ‘all my best friends are a little broken, all the best people are’. It’s from a handmade tape called ‘We’ll go riding on the hearses’ which will get a proper vinyl release early 2017 on Melbourne label Pink Lake Records.” |
