A handful of months back, Los Angeles based trio Sonder Saloon took to the mountains at Fish Lake, Utah and recorded the acoustic indie-folk sounds found in their debut EP, Mackinaw. This excellent six track release dropped on 11.18.15 and includes a mix of acoustic guitars, vocal harmonies, banjo and synth, all influenced by favorites Fleet Foxes and the Beach Boys.
We ran across the group when the video for Who You Are was sent to us in a link. This was apparently the last song written by the band in Utah, and it is comprised entirely of historical footage from the public domain. Check out this nicely edited video further down below…
