Stevie B Wolf: Nothing But a Name

Stevie B WolfNew York based (via Boulder, CO) singer-songwriter Stevie B Wolf recently announced the release of his alternative pop EP Alone + Alive due out Nov. 6.

The Alone + Alive EP provides listeners with a sense of catharsis and musical connection as Stevie B Wolf confronts a more common challenge – that of lost love. At a young age, Wolf was diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome, ADD, and depression. Rather than seeing his mental health as a weakness, Wolf overcomes this adversity to his musical advantage. “Tourette’s can manifest in many ways, like physical twitching or saying the same word over and over. A lot of my tics were tunes or phrases that popped into my head that I repeated compulsively. Maybe that has helped me develop a unique vocal and lyrical style.” He continues, “But it’s mostly that the presence of mental illness has always been a huge drive behind my music.” Wolf always felt like an outcast – like there was a barrier between other people and him; music was the way he could reach across that barrier and connect with people in a 100% real way.
