Lofine: Lie in White

LofineLo Fine is Kevin O’Rourke, an indie rock instrumentalist and singer/songwriter who launched the long-running project in the late 1990’s in Northampton, Massachusetts.

Earlier in the year Kevin successfully crowdfunded his release, “Want is a Great Need”, an album that had been slowly but steadily underway since the completion of his album “Not For Us Two” around 2007. This new album was reportedly recorded all over (from NY to Maine), no doubt gathering its inspiration in studios, houses, hotel rooms, and wherever creativity struck. O’Rourke could just flip open his laptop when traveling, handily capturing an idea at its inception.

The sounds of Lofine is reportedly influenced by other great sounds we love ala Fugazi, Richard Buckner, Elliot Smith, Sebadoh, Dinosaur Jr., Pavement and Guided by Voices. This comes highly recommended.
