Laurie Levine: Oh Brother

Talented South African folk artist Laurie Levine heads to the UK at the end of the November, playing songs from her latest release ‘Six Winters’ that launched in that region on November 5th. She first emerged on the scene in 2007 with her debut ‘Unspoken’ and has since won several South African Music Awards over the last few years. This is naturally well deserved. Just take a listen to today’s featured song as it hauntingly encapsulates the feeling of being deeply wounded, while audibly framing itself against an old americana themed backdrop; especially visualized when the strings kick in. Amazing material.

Laurie will be playing in Bristol, Brighton, Warwick, London, Elloughton and Whistable, and potentially a few extra dates. The tour starts towards the end of November and ends mid December so be sure not to miss her if you are out in the UK.
