It’s Cinco de Mayo and the perfect time to dip back into the Mexican independent music scene. I came across a great post-rock group from Pachuca the last couple of days named mountaintops., formed in Mexico in 2007. Today’s track comes courtesy of the free Los Ladrones Viejos compilation over at BandCamp and is titled ‘Islandia’.
Previously named ‘mountaintops in caves’ the group shortened the band name and released a collection of demos titled ’98-99′ which they are offering for free at this mediafire link in .rar format.
