Montag: Luminaire

No where is this more apparent than on Luminaire, recorded for an upcoming Wool Recordings compilation called Woolly Jumpers. Luminaire folds in harmonies reminiscent of The Winter Sounds, soothing layers of electronica bliss, and a sort of call-and-response vocal style that keeps things just shy of beautifully chaotic.

MontagMONTAG (Antoine Bédard) was born in Gaspé, Québec and raised in the icy Kuujuak in Québecs north and Montréal, and is regarded as one of Canadas most distinctive electronic musicians. Montag is celebrated among music aficionados for his sophisticated compositions, mixing analog, electronic and acoustic instruments into rich soundscapes and melodies.

Listening to Luminaire feels like eating the digital version of York Peppermint Patty.
