Stereo Sons: Bladecatcher

From their album Our Own Devices released earlier this year.

Stereo SonsStereo Sons are an original three-piece rock band based in Seattle, Wa. Their sound is driven by the strange musical chemistry between post-punk singer/guitarist Chris Klepac, jazz/funk drummer Mike O’Doherty, and the maelstrom of low end contributed by bassist Stew Mclain. The songs travel between dirty noise and sweet hooks, from twang to thunder, and feature darkly comic lyrics about the highs and lows of modern life.

Our Own Devices was recorded and mixed at Egg Studio by veteran Seattle producer Conrad Uno. It was mixed by Floyd Reitsma at RFI, and the graphic design was done by illustrator Amy Helmick. The ten tracks on Our Own Devices highlight the balance the band strikes between adrenaline-boosting immediacy and artful songwriting. They are currently booking shows across the west coast to promote their debut album.
