Julie Peel: Unfold

French indie rocker and self-taught multi-instrumentalist Julie Peel writes smart, well-crafted folk rock with a pop sensibility reminiscent of Aimee Mann, Neil Young, Beth Orton and Feist. Julie’s debut album “Near The Sun” is a rare and unexpected gem of a release. Featuring catchy dynamic tracks such as “Living in a Movie” and “Once More With Feeling” to quieter introspective songs such as “Unfold” and “Near The Sun”, the album has a lot to offer and compels repeat listens.

Julie recently received an unusually early invitation to showcase at SXSW in 2010, and has been touring in support of the album earning new fans with each show.
