Johnny Kills: Maybe Next Year

Johnny Kills Johnny Kills release their second track ‘Maybe Next Year’ and announce debut show at The Hope and Ruin, Brighton, September 3rd.

“Maybe Next Year is about when you get into that introspective zone and start analysing yourself that little bit too much, leading to you questioning if you’re normal like everyone else. The contrast between the summery music and vaguely paranoid subject matter combine with ‘Take It Easy’s early 20s panic theme to make their new double A-side a neurotic opening salvo for Johnny Kills”

Following on from chaotically unstable and frenetic debut track ‘Take It Easy’ Brighton via London/Cambridge/York band of misfits Johnny Kills unveil the chilled summery sounds of ‘Maybe Next Year’.

Still rooted in the same WAVVES, FIDLAR, Surfer Blood, Bloody Knees inspired garage-indie style, lead singer Timmy Kills’ call and response vocals ruminate on further questions around what it is to be caught between adolescence and adulthood.
