The Vultures: The Plague

The VulturesToday’s Dose by London UK based The Vultures is from their upcoming album Three Mothers Part 1 which will be released on February 9 2015 on Ciao Ketchup Recordings. We’ve had a sneak preview, and its worth waiting for. It is a follow up to their double A side Vlad/Cancer (video for Cancer below) and has been described as “this sensual, sinister and proudly singular record is an orchestral post-punk masterclass in noirish songcraft.”

“The Vultures are an evenly split male/female sextet whose members descended on London from five countries spanning three continents. Comprising three-part vocals, cello, violin, viola, bass and drums, the band bonded over a shared belief that rock’n’roll has become stiflingly dull. The Vultures are anything but, eschewing guitars, synths and digitalism in favour of intense in-the-flesh performance. The group’s darkly gorgeous soundscape is sculpted from a broad range of material, encompassing influences from Bjork to Blondie, Serge Gainsbourg to The Pixies, and resulting in innovative and impassioned alternative songs that are set to contaminate the public consciousness in 2015.” [bio]
