Brittsommar: Tell Me

BrittsommarSawyer L Gebauer has come a long way in the past year. From recording Brittsommar’s first album Day of Living Velvet solo in an abandoned synagogue to working with artists and musicians from all over Europe and the US for the much anticipated second album to be released on April 4th 2013, predestined by the single “Tell Me” two days ago on February 20th.

Many of the songs are stories of lost letters never found, written during travels through Midwest America, darkened cities of Germany, soft soils of Italy, closed ports of Denmark, and the Swedish country hills. Goodbyes from prisoner to daughter. A lesson from a French soldier to his nurse during WWI. A parent’s confession whose child was a murderer. An apology from a failed sailor and painter to himself. These are the forgotten things. The ink is washed and the paper is now dirt, but words are stone. Everyone holds their chisel in hand..

“The Machine Stops” is the new album from Swedish/US-combo Brittsommar out April 4th on Lucky Duck Music.
