Hey music junkie! First time here? Click over to http://insomniaradio.net/subscribe/ and get all of our content (tons of music) delivered for free. Enjoy your time here, and keep it loud!
Columbia, SC’s one-man folk-rock outfit Daddy Lion is an old friend of Insomnia Radio, so we were thrilled to learn of the release of his debut full-length album Habitat when he sent us the record’s opening track. Self-recorded entirely by Daddy Lion AKA Jeremy Joseph, this dreamy lo-fi track tackles deeper thoughts than it’s cheery guitar intro would have you believe, and before long introduces subtle synth sounds that build to a much more meaty sound that ends the song on a crashing crescendo; it’s a great opening into a very enjoyable album.
You can download the album in it’s entirety, along with his previously released EP, from Daddy Lion’s website! And don’t forget to check out the self-made video for The Scientist’s Lament below.
