Palomar: Wouldn’t Release You

Clinton Hill, Brooklyn four-piece Palomar have returned with a gripping new batch of excellent tracks laced with gorgeous female fronted vocals. Their new album jumps out of the gates this January 24th with the leadoff track ‘Wouldn’t Release You’ from their upcoming fifth new album ‘Sense and Antisense’ – featured here today.

The album was produced in Brooklyn by Phil Palazzolo (The New Pornographers’ Together and Ted Leo’s The Brutalist Bricks) at Seaside Lounge. Contributing to the album are local stars Charles Bissell of the Wrens (guitarist/vocalist Rachel’s husband), Roman Kuebler of the late Oranges Band, and Jed Smith of My Teenage Stride among others.

The band has several notable tourdates coming up, starting with a record-release show on 1/24/12 at the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan with Nada Surf. Also they will be a part of the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin again this year, taking place March 13-18th.

Also, it looks like the band is currently streaming the new album here, so preview it while you can before release!
