Mathieu Santos: I Can Hear the Trains Coming
Mat, the bassist for Ra Ra Riot, has a debut solo album on the way via his label Barsuk Records. During some down-time with the band he recorded a number of tracks which will be released this summer as ‘Massachusetts 2010’.
He recently sent out the announcement via the Ra Ra Riot fanlist, and that it is going to be available both digitally and in a very limited pressing (500 hand-numbered copies) on white vinyl.
Mat noted “If you want to get a copy of the vinyl, please do it quickly – I’m told that the album is available for pre-order at some kind of early-bird discount ($18) from now until the end of May in the Barsuk shop, along with a limited-edition 7″ single on some pretty green vinyl (via the good folks at Old Flame Records).
Also, a few (let’s say 30) randomly-chosen pre-orders will include some crappy doodle that I made on a post-it note or something”
