Today’s Daily Dose comes to you from an unlikely source: the depths of the music section of Reddit.com. Jack James, of Glasgow, Scotland posted a link to his self-recorded album Lights Off, Headphones On and it caught my eye as an offer of free indie music always does!

As he says, “The songs you hear here were home recorded in a home. The majority of this album was done in the first 5 months of 2009 because of unemployment due to moneygeddon.”
It’s an album of simple, heartfelt folkey goodness from a man and his guitar, his vocals have an irresistible Glaswegian tinge, and it’s free! Head over to his Bandcamp page to download it in its entirety. |
