The Marchen: Days
August 28, 2009
Written by Stuart Morrison
From their recently released self-titled EP.
The Marchen is an alternative indie rock band based out of South Florida.
Guitarists Matt Salcito and Noah Garbarino began writing music for the band in late 2006. They soon filled out the lineup by adding Noah’s brother Ben Garbarino, the drummer, and bassist Erick King for the rhythm section.

As their style expanded and the need for more diverse instrumentation surfaced, Andrew Cochran joined to band to fill the part. The five then sought out a singer and eventually recruited friend, and music major, Katherine Dzuro.
The largest goal with their music was to try to realize the use of more extraordinary instruments in a sea of bands in their local music scene with the standard two guitar, bass, and drums arrangement. |
