Lorenzo’s Music: Downtown
A year or two back we featured a demo of the Lorenzo’s Music song “Downtown” on the Daily Dose. Fast forward to this last week and we received the great piece of news that Bazar, their next studio album containing said track, had finally been released into the world.
“Downtown” is a fantastic piece of work that makes me feel like I’m listening to a long lost track from The English Beat. Instead of the standard ska horns, you are going to hear some oft-neglected saxophone punctuated with some upbeat ska guitar & drum “pick-it-ups”, all overlayed with the distinct vocals of Tom Ray and some brilliant harmonization and frenzied instrumental execution throughout.
