Canon: Don’t Trust the Teachers

CanonFrom their 2007 Corporate Records release comes a somewhat progressive stylized rock epic from Hollywood based four-piece, Canon.

Don’t Trust the Teachers, seemingly loosely based on the 70s slogan of questioning authority, hits upon some of the qualities that made Pink Floyd so great, while adding some vocals that might make some Radiohead or Coldplay fans nod their heads in misrecognition.

Canon have quickly gained a large loyal listener base, including this here music fanboy. Their debut album ‘Wide Awake’ is all solid throughout, and it looks it might be re-released for larger distribution this summer on One Eleven Records, based out of Orlando, FL. Until that release occurs, you can grab the songs over on Snocap. [cs]
