The Bay Rays: New Home
Garage rock outfit The Bay Rays have announced the upcoming release of their second single New Home. Following on from the release of their hugely successful debut single Four Walls, which caught the attention of tastemakers online and received support from the likes of Annie Mac, Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens, the punk trio’s next release is another blistering burst of rock n’ roll sure to win them many plaudits.
Comprising of Harry Nicoll (vocals/guitar), Maxwell Oakley (drums) and Anthus Davis (bass), the band formed in the autumn of 2015 and developed a formidable live set, having already supported fellow Kent band Slaves at the end of last year. |
Their performances caught the attention of producer Jolyon Thomas (Slaves, Daughter) at the start of 2016 and led to the band recording first releases Four Walls and New Home with him before heading out on a series of tour dates, with their single launch party taking place at The Sussex Arms basement in Tunbridge Wells on 14th May.
The Bay Rays’ New Home will be released via the band’s own label East Wing Records on 27th May. [via Super cat PR]
