Have the Moskovik: Ten Years From the Second
French sample heavy post-rock four-piece Orléans came together in the city in 2006, adding a performer into the mix for their high energy and stimulating live shows. In 2011 they created their own label Gropied Records and self-produced the first album “Une Simple Théorie des Glaces en Terrasse“, which was published under free Creative Commons license.
This EP “Là où les idées vertes incolores dorment furieusement” roughly translating to “Where colorless green ideas sleep furiously” was issued in October of 2013 via Strandflat, a Net-label in Saint-Malo. It is also under Creative commons license, except for the track ‘Liberty Will Never Perish’, which samples The Great Dictator.
Check out the video embedded further below for “Une bouteille de lait” @ L’Astrolabe in Orléans for an example of the live show experience.
