Merry Christmas to all from the IR family! You caught us just as we are unwrapping our final gift from California Bay area dreampop band SENTINEL. After getting in the holiday spirit close to October, the band put the finishing touches on and recently released their awaited Christmas single for 2012, a free download which you can currently find here or over at BandCamp. Its a beautifully rendered twist on a holiday classic, a perfect nostalgic blanket to keep you warm on this cold Christmas Day. And oh yes the artwork…. The artwork for this single was reportedly taken from a chance encounter up at 10,000 ft up in Lassen Volcanic National Park.

If you are up in the Berkeley, CA area this coming January 3rd, make your resolution to get out and catch some more live music on Thursday nights… best started with Sentinel at the Starry Plough.
