Fizzy Soup: No Prayers
Cuerca Spain based indie rock-folk & soul band FIZZY SOUP released their newest nine track LP “Not So Far” earlier this year in February. The exceptional release, doubly funded through a crowdfunding effort, follows on the heels of their LP “Wood Room” in 2014 as well as the 2016 EP, “We Do This“.
A video for the song “Far” follows below, also on this album. They explain it as such (translated roughly to English):
What does “away” mean? Feeling far, wanting to be far away, must leave far. “FAR” goes beyond the idea, we wanted the distance to be present in the sound, so we decided to turn the recording into a trip. Each instrument is recorded farther than the previous one, they all sound in different places and at the same time. We looked for places with that special “something”, that connected with the feeling of the song and that would bring to the sound of the instrument a different character.
