Getaway Car is the third release from NYC based songwriter and rocker Clinton Curtis, issued in October of this past year. Recorded in just three days the LP features an impassioned selection of rock, folk, blues and more. This is notably Curtis’ most personal album, which reportedly covers love, loss and a dream of redemption in a suffocating modern world. To compliment this, the album was recorded in one room live to tape, giving it a more intimate feel.

Wounded City Night is the perfect lead off track for the album that adeptly sets up the rest of the excellent thirteen track release. It’s a high energy and organically delivered single that you can definitely tell would sound just as good live as it did during the original recording session. Be sure to check out the most impressive live video below for the cover of Van Morrison’s ‘And It Stoned Me‘ complete with some reggae vibes thrown in, definitely the best we’ve heard to date.
