EGOISM: Crowd
EGOISM is a dreampop/shoegaze band from Newton, Sydney, formed in 2014, although technically began in 2012 as a 7 piece ukelele ensemble until membership eventually declined.
Singer-songwriter Scout reportedly wrote the single “Crowd” a long time ago but they never thought it would be released. They mention it was one of the only things they could play when they first starting jamming together, but they eventually refined it with some help and released the song in Jan of 2016. The band has also released a debut EP “It’s Wearing Off” out a few shorts month back in mid-February of this year although we came across “Crowd” first and figured we’d start there as a slightly earlier introduction to the group’s developing sound. You can apparently purchase all of these and more via a name-your-price model via the Bandcamp link below.
