Roberto Sánchez: Penitentiary Dub
Truthtown Records’ fourth release is a tribute to all the people who suffer on a daily basis within the countless prisons around the world, simply due to the fact that they think/act “differently”, fight against established order or were unlucky enough to be born without certain privileges.
This new rhythm is based on Sly & Robbie and Black Uhuru’s “General Penitentiary” song, originally released in 1979. This specific version is brought to you by dub mastermind Roberto Sánchez who we’ve featured before in the not so distant past.
The 10″ EP is available now on vinyl at the label’s Bandcamp page below and was officially released on September 25th!
