Mat Hunsley: Dropping
‘Dropping’ is the brand new offering from Mat Hunsley, whose debut EP is due for release later this year.
Hunsley’s unique brand of storytelling is laid bare on ‘Dropping’, a song about learning to be okay with yourself, even if it means defying the expectations of others. Nods to contemporaries including Bon Iver, Nathaniel Ratecliff and James Vincent Mcmorrow are evident in his sound and provide the perfect backdrop to his poignant lyricism and ethereal vocals. The Newcastle-based artist has already earned huge praise from the likes of The Line Of Best Fit and The 405, leading to support slots for Seafret, To Kill A King and label-mate Axel Flovent over the last year, and forthcoming material is sure to propel him to even greater heights. |
Produced by Mick Ross (Ajimal, Tessera Skies, The Lake Poets) and mastered by Tom Woodward (The Cribs, Fidlar, Frankie & The Heartstrings), Mat Hunsley’s ‘Dropping’ is released on 9th September via Trellis Records. [via Super Cat PR]
