Manwomanchild will be releasing a new single called “The Retreat” on Tuesday, August 23rd. The track is the second single from Manwomanchild’s new album, Awkward Island, which was released in July.

Manwomanchild is a rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania fronted by David Child. The band was started in Rhode Island in 2008, and in 2013, Manwomanchild moved to Philadelphia.

After we listened to the new single, we remarked to David that we really liked it and that it sounded a bit Syd Barratt like (which is a good thing). David replied: “… thanks for the kind words about the song. Syd Barrett is a huge influence on me (especially love the early pre-album Pink Floyd singles e.g. ‘See Emily Play’).”
