Owls of the Swamp

Today’s Dose is the title track from the atmospheric indie-folk EP, Meteorite, from Icelandic-based act, Owls of the Swamp. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Pete Uhlenbruch creates a lush atmospheric sound with warm, emphasized vocals. Meteorite is due out on November 4.

Under the moniker, Owls of the Swamp, Melbourne native Pete Uhlenbruch has released three albums: Smoky Bay (2007), Go with River (2011), and ATLAS (2014) [from which we featured Shapeshifter]. After a transformative experience in the jungles of Peru, he is ready to release his first EP, Meteorite, which highlights his personal journey since returning to Iceland, where he now resides. Uhlenbruch collaborated with Stefan Orn Gunnlaugsson, who mixed the EP at his studio, Aldingarðurinn, adding vocal and instrumental techniques Uhlenbruch hadn’t explored in his previous works.
