Broken Cities: Beyond the Lightning, Void

The most recent effort, “Anemoi” by Oakland, California group Broken Cities is described as the culmination of more than two years of intense crafting from five friends who translate stories, thoughts, emotions and the indescribable into songs. Within these tracks unfolds the story of the Anemoi, a space vessel unlike any mankind has conceived of in hundreds of years exploring our solar system.

The six-track EP was released less than two years ago on September 23, 2014 and a pretty spectacular video followed, which we’ve embedded further below. The five-piece band recently saw one of its members moving on a few short months ago this past May, but we hope they can continue on to some degree as their sound is just perfect for further cinematic experiments.
