Corporate Fandango: Blow Up the Moon
Greensboro North Carolina ska band CORPORATE FANDANGO issued their third official release, The Proof is in the Pizza EP on Feb 13 of last year.
Our feature here from that EP is the extraordinarily creative song Blow Up the Moon, which could just as well be a new soundtrack for a frantic sped up and edited down version of A Trip to the Moon, the 1902 French silent film directed by Georges Méliès. We’ve heard a lot of great ska tracks over the last few decades but this one hits some new levels creating haunting alien voices from the brass that really blast the song into unearthly directions.
