Skinny Blonde

Skinny Blonde – the musical alias of 22-year-old New York student and resident Michael Turzilli – takes upbeat pop and turns it on its self-aware head. Often satirical in nature, Turzilli’s music draws the line between taking ourselves too seriously and not taking ourselves seriously enough. His debut EP, City Girls [out 3rd June], explores the creative process and dense community of artists in New York with a sharp and realistic tongue. He explores how quickly the artistic process can turn narcissistic, not leaving anyone free from critique – even himself. [via GLG Pub]
