Swaying Wires: Nowhere
Finnish band Swaying Wires return with their second album ‘I Left A House Burning‘ on January 14th via Brighton indie label ‘Battle Worldwide’. Today’s featured track, ‘Nowhere‘ looks to be the debut single from the album.
In 2013 the band signed with their current label and released their debut album ‘Some Blue Sky’ later that same year. They’ve apparently spent two years of gigging in places like Turku, Helsinki, Pori, Vaasa, Tampere, Brighton and London, and have accumulated a lot of personal struggles and triumphs that have no doubt made their way into the forthcoming music. I love the vocals from Tina Kakinen here, creating her own imprint with vocals falling somewhere in the stellar ranges of Natalie Merchant, Neko Case, or even maybe Deb Talan.
