Pomegranates were a indie rock band based out of Cincinnati, Ohio. Since 2006 up to about 2012 they issued three albums and three EPs, with a load of touring that went on between. 2012 saw the release of the fourth studio album “Heaven” with Austin based label Modern Outsider. From the looks of it they successfully funded the entirety or at least a good part of it through a Kickstarter campaign.

Today’s feature, the single “50’s” from the album “One Of Us” was issued on 10/26/10 via Afternoon Records. Sadly the group broke reportedly broke up in 2013 although their quality music still strongly lives on. It also appears they’ve been sending out some overdue Kickstarter packages in the last few months and they may still be playing the occasional secret show now and then.
