3&O: Everything I Have
Today’s feature is from 3&O, a NH, Mass, and soon to be California based group, apparently born out of the posting of a Reddit ad seeking a vocalist. Since this fortuitous meeting of said vocalist, and after the band went public about 3 months back, the three members [Emily Setsuko, Benjamin Bunker and Dé Von] have been quickly moving forward musically, with several collaborations in the mix, including a hinted at feature of a yet unnamed artist one of the musicians actually grew up listening to.
The group’s sound has been described as unique, and they explained “that having different musical backgrounds allows them to dance in the realm of pop, underground hip-hop and folk, with a through line of baroque music”. Today’s featured track, “Everything I Have”, “is rooted in indie pop and toys with eclectic chopped vocal layering, looped guitar samples, and upbeat drum patterns, all without losing it’s pop appeal.”
