Brundlefly & the Swede: Cabin Music (radio edit)
Another excellent instrumental is in the cards today as we wanted to continue with you in a similar vein by featuring a joint offering that came together over the course of a couple of years, Brundlefly & the Swede. Obscure Me Records recently posted this fine track from the duo’s debut this past week which immediately captured our attention.
Bandmembers Jason Socci and Matthew Kohnle are both alumni of the long defunct Connecticut instrumental band Daybed. After splitting ways years years earlier, one going to Utah and the other to North Carolina, they came back together for a vacation outside Asheville, NC in 2010 for a musical respite in the woods. After some inspired recording sessions and a few years of tinkering with the tracks and remixing, they’ve recently released this debut effort on vinyl as well as via a few online outlets.
You can support the band at any of the social sites below, and hopefully help fund their next vacation together. I also must say that while lining up a cabin getaway this coming weekend, the track has been setting up some excellent visuals. Enjoy.
