Farewell Davidson: Open Heart Surgery
Today’s song may sound like it’s by a band of guys with experience, who treat music and their role on the song with excellence due their age and time playing. Or, guys who couldn’t do anything else then this, even if they are verry young.
Farewell Davidson was started by four friends when they wanted to compete in their school battle of the bands. After winning that battle they were motivated to sign up for another battle and winning two more in a row. The band continued to do shows around the Ottawa Ontario and Montreal Quebec region. They played up to four gigs a week at local pups music festivals and for T.V, and radio. While writing their own material along the way, the band has developed a unique smooth indie rock energized sound.
The bands name was derived from two meaning the street name where the band practices Davidson Road got changed abruptly,also from a tragic loss of their good friend Tony (son of David) who died in a crash caused by a drunk driver.
