Chance’s End: Dragonfly
Down The Doors is the third studio album from San Francisco Bay Area electronic music
group Chance’s End. Currently a duo, classical violinist Ryan Avery and singersongwriter Emily Zisman have found common ground in trip-hop and downtempo electronic music.
Started in 2000 by Colorado violinist Ryan Avery, Chance’s End has always explored the
crossover between acoustic violin and electronic music. Now that artists like Hybrid, Groove
Armada, and Beats Antique have broken down doors for the rise of strings in electronic
music, Chance’s End is following closely behind. With the recent addition of blues-
influenced frontwoman Emily Zisman, the lyrics in this latest album feature prominently in
the tracks.
Chance’s End is currently promoting “Down The Doors”, the third album released July 16th
2012 on Ryan Avery’s own label Definite Plus Music (definiteplus.com). This as well as the
first two albums, “Set Me Free” and “The Outsider” are also available on iTunes, CD Baby,
and the Chance’s End website. Chance’s End is playing shows and events around the San
Francisco bay area, and is planning to tour in 2012/2013 along the West Coast of the United
States. [Bio]
