“New Brunswick’s Tin Kitchen guitarist/vocalist Lindsay Minton and bassist Mercy Harper moved to Houston, TX in 2008 and soon formed football, etc. They self-released First Down EP (2009) which garnered attention from emo revivalists everywhere and was cause for comparisons to Rainer Maria, Mineral, and American Football. Former Austin shoegazer James Vehslage (ex-For Those Who Know; Ringo Deathstarr; She, Sir) took over the drumming duties in 2010 just in time to go on a summer tour of the Midwest/East coast with PS Eliot and record the band’s first full length effort in the fall. The spring of 2011 will see the release of The Draft which was recorded and co-produced by ex-Chainsaw Kitten Trent Bell whose credits include the Flaming Lips, Starlight Mints, and Dressy Bessy.” [Bio]
