New York indie pop band Anna Bradley was formed by frontman Kamir Kubar, who apparently lives in Berkeley, CA half of every year.
The group indicates that their newest full length release Pavo is a result of six months of instrumental effort and 18 years of lyrical struggle. We really enjoyed the entirety of this one but wanted to showcase the self-titled track as it really reached out and evoked memories of all the great indie ‘college rock’ bands of the late 80s/90s. Early Ben Deily era Lemonheads and Dinosaur Jr come to mind although the familiarity ends there as this particular track moves in its own direction with a sound of its own.
Anna Bradley believes the pop song is as a cultural touchstone to be returned to again and again.
