Singer/rhythm guitarist Andy Martin, lead guitarist Kyle Hammond and drummer Dan Ryan formed DEAD WORLD LEADERS in 2006. With the addition of Rob Nicholson on bass they have aired on Hallam FM, BBC Radio Sheffield and more recently BBC Raw Talent, received some towering press and supported local favourites the Arctic Monkeys.

Dead World Leaders

DWL carried on in 2008 where they left off previously, by touring relentlessly including slots with Pete and the Pirates to a packed York Barfly and headlined the Sheffield leg of the Red Stripe Music Awards. They also supported. Glasvegas, The Enemy, Reverend and the Makers, Silversun Pickups and made an appearance at London Calling Event 2008. The band released their third single, the 3 track “Right Side of Wrong / What do You Propose (I Do)? / Fall” on July 14th followed up by an electrifying performance at the In The City showcase in Manchester. DWL finished the year with a string of performances live on BBC Radio and picking up Exposed Magazine’s ‘Best Unsigned Act of 2008’ award.
