Sgt Dunbar & The Hobo Banned: A March Through Charles Mingus’ Garbage Pile
Sgt Dunbar and the Hobo Banned is an indie-folk band and large part of Albany’s B3nson Recording Collective. The band has been in existence for a little more than 3 years and written and recorded over 100 songs and played over 150 shows. The band has only in the last year settled into its current epic eight piece lineup that have made its live shows so interesting and exciting.
Check out some of the instruments used on their productions: vocals, guitars, accordion, trumpet, euphonium, drums, tuba, trombone, noises, wood flute, ukelele, typewriter, feedback, coffee mugs, singing saws, piano, trombent, kazoo, avant garde steel chair, squeaky glass pot top, cornet, french horn, bass, mandolin, bass drum, banjo, saxophone, flute, sax noise, flugel horn, violin, percussion, and lil’ tykes.
