Pedestrian: Go
Los Angeles based band-to-watch, Pedestrian recently released their fourth endeavor entitled “Sidegeist”, a follow up to their two EPs in 2003 and first full length in 2006 called “Ghostly Life”.
The track featured here, “Go”, embodies the tenets I hold onto strongly when looking for a quality track that tells a great story, is instrumentally sound and that is broken up by several changes that don’t follow your run of the mill arrangements. Its definitely going to net them some notice at SXSW this March, as well as in the weeks and months following the festival no doubt.
Pedestrian’s bandmembers Joel Shearer (vocals, guitars) Zac Rae (keyboards, guitars) Blair Sinta (drums) and Joe Karnes (bass) area all accomplished musicians who have contributed as session and touring musicians to the music of: Alanis Morissette, Damien Rice, Our Lady Peace, Annie Lennox, John Cale, Fiona Apple, Gnarls Barkley, Dido, Jane’s Addiction, Carly Simon, and Lindsey Buckingham to name a few.
Pedestrian’s music is available at their online storefront, and you can also download the track “Go” for free. You go now.
