Rookin: Once More to the Lake

Once More to the Lake” is the lead-off track from the late 2015 album “The Lookout” by Brooklyn based band ROOKIN, seven beautiful tracks of indie folk-rock. You may remember we previously featured “After Dark” from their 2014 EP, which you can catch up with here.

Keep your eyes peeled this month for a new LP from the band called “Unionism“. Today I just saw the first single was up and entitled “Henry Twain“, a bit of a tale surrounding Samuel Clemens’ [Mark Twain] baby brother, Henry, who passed due to injuries from a steamboat accident. Its also up under a name-your-price model at BC and the cover artwork is very stunning [Image from “The Mississippi in Time of War” by Frances Flora Bond Palmer (1862)]. You can bet we will be circling around in the near future to check out the entirety.
