Ru: Lighthouse

Hey music junkie! First time here? Click over to and get all of our content (tons of music) delivered for free. Enjoy your time here, and keep it loud!

Berlin Indie pop three-piece band RU released their six track EP “Hunter & Prey” this part April with the final master of the EP recently posted on Bandcamp, mastered by Torsten Lang from Distilled & Bottled. The group tells us that in Vietnamese Ru means lullaby and in French it stands for a little stream or a flow of water, and that musically, the sound of Ru is reflected in the name itself.

The EP is a thing of beauty with the featured track “Lighthouse” landing here in October, perfectly opening the doorway to Fall. You can pick up the new effort for the low cost of €5 EU at BC below, and be happy knowing they are now heading back into the studio, with many new song sketches on the way.

Influences: Jfdr, Sóley, The Weather Station, I am Oak, Patrick Watson, Grizzly Bear, Marika Hackman, Soft milk

Another of our favorite tracks “Born” from the EP can be found below, performed live via Balcony TV.
