Soft Deadlines: Strategic Exit

Phoenix Arizona’s SOFT DEADLINES released their third album this past December, “Go Dark” twelve solid songs with beautifully raw lyrics, the sounds of the song “Strategic Exit” resonating predominately in our ears after several listens.

Singer Oliver Lemke reportedly credits a favorite college professor with introducing him to the post-punk genre, but it wasn’t until 2013 that he met the first of his other band-mates in drummer Russ Hill. Since the latest release the band has self-produced a few videos for the album of which the track “This City is Hell” is featured further below.

Influences: Gang of Four, Wire, Joy Division, The Sex Pistols, Public Image Ltd, Q and Not U, Bloc Party, The Posies, Radiohead.
