California Celts: The Town I Loved So Well

From Yucca Valley (CA), the California Celts music draws from the worldwide catalog of Celtic, Nautical and Island music with subtle tones of Reggae, Bluegrass, Mexicano and Rock. The group pays homage to the Scotch-Irish musical thread and its journey from the Old World to The Americas and beyond.

If you are in the Southern California area and haven’t seen their live show, you are definitely missing out as their high energy performances are some of the best we’ve come across along the lines of those artists in their influence list further below. They are constantly playing so be sure to keep checking out their FB page for the latest.

Interestingly, it appears the band also has a brand new nautically themed album – “Totally Nautical: Pirate Songs of the Spanish Main“, just out this past year. You can grab it and the other two full lengths on the CD Baby page below, which includes the 2010 self-titled release from which today’s inspired cover can be found.

RIYL: Rancid, The (English) Beat, The Toy Dolls – Official, Flogging Molly, Madness
