The White Raven: Rose

Helsingborg Sweden based alternative pop-rock band THE WHITE RAVEN recently released their debut album “Through Your Hands” this past September on Bolero Recordings. The album reached completion when the band went to a cabin in the woods at Hallandsåsen and spent a week there together.

We started to write a few songs on the first day already and the week gave us more than we expected. Although only one of maybe six songs from that session is included on the album, it is necessary to kill your darlings too. From the woods we went down to our own cave in Gåsebäck and that’s where we recorded and produced the album. In our own world in a way.”

Rose” is an excellent single taken from the album and is about loving someone hopefully and trying to let go of their memory (about hopeless hopefulness). A video for the song was also released in September, which we’ve embedded further below.

Influences: Tom Waits, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Volcano Choir, The National, alt-J, Bon Iver
