James Leonard Hewitson

Following on from his acclaimed debut single, the melodic anti-folk of ‘Care Less, Love Less’ [a Daily Dose in July], Hartlepool [UK] songwriter James Leonard Hewitson announces the release of his second track ‘The Screen’, a darkly intense musing on the effect social media on our daily lives.

Drawing from strong American influences such as Parquet Courts and The Walkmen, Hewitson’s unique style provides a fresh take on slacker pop, with by turns soothing and frenetic vocals and fuzzy, fidgety guitars creating a sumptuous sound crafted to perfection.

‘The Screen’, produced by James Leonard Hewitson and Mark Folland at The Studio, Hartlepool, is out on 14th October via Endearment Records. [via Super Cat PR]
