Kye Alfred Hillig: We Buried a Cop
Kye Alfred Hillig’s new album ‘The Buddist’ has just released digitally earlier in the month, with a CD being issued on 9/9. For those who like to lovingly admire a larger scale version of the artwork and enjoy a more visceral experience, he is currently running a Payola funding campaign for a vinyl copy that has a little over a week left to run.
The new record was produced by Hillig alongside Daniel G. Harmann and is a collection of what Hillig describes as his most honest and raw material to date. Apparently a preview of the material at The Dutch Embassy earlier in July left some audience members in tears and the feedback was apparently outstanding.
We love his songs as they all have such a strong intelligent storytelling presence that is hard to find, joining such company as Tom Brosseau, Drew Danburry, Eddie Vedder and a handful of others we think have the rare gift.
